In my case, I was feeling painfully restricted by the site-building tool I was trying to use. In addition to the fact that there were certain things I couldn't do, the simple process of updating pages and links via some online tool was painfully slow.
So about nine days ago, I discovered such things as javascript and cascading style sheets. Thanks to many, wonderful, free online tutorials and license-free scripts, along with my own pigheaded stubbornness, I've managed to knock up the site from scratch.
So, it flies. I've stress-tested it from my own browser, but there might be issues with others (or things I just failed to test). If you come across a broken link, a failed script, or anything like that and want to help me out, please use this email address (I've placed it in an image file in a vain attempt to fool the spambots):
